Last week I celebrated a birthday, and the theme of the party was a masked ball. I love that it’s so hard to recognise who is behind the mask, making everyone and everything seem so mysterious. Manet’s painting ‘Masked Ball At The Opera’ always fascinated me, it’s so dark and mysterious, you can’t quite tell what is going on, all the guests are dressed in black, except for the entertainers, and you can only imagine the intrigue that must have gone on…

The dress I am wearing, is my favourite, favourite dress. It may just be a simple little LBD, but with a twist; the corset is attached. It’s so simple, yet edgy too… It’s one of those dresses that you really need to see up close to really appreciate it, as it’s made from only the finest fabrics.
