LFW A/W 2013: Jean Pierre Braganza

Jean Pierre Braganza

Jean Pierre Braganza’s collection was very dark and predominantly black and grey, with the exception teal suits parading down the catwalk. Signature sharp panelled tailoring and the addition of a round pattern intersected with lines, reminiscent of Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. Patterns of cosmic symbolism and geometry featured in this collection giving it a ScI Fi theme. Although I felt it had a Japanese warrior look to it, with the long fabric waist ties, giving it a ‘samurai silhouette‘ softening the dramatic lines, conveying an image of  power, wisdom and elegance. The hair too was very oriental, straight and long, with a neat bun, bound at the crown.
