John Rocha was the only show I attended on Saturday. This was the most colourful shows that I had seen so far. They reminded me of a colourful version of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, because of the fantastic black veils that each of the girls wore. Volume was key to his collection, with organza dresses in shades of pink, green and yellow, with an appropriate injection of black, made their way down the catwalk. There was a country garden theme, which was realised through through the appliquéd flowers and layering. Rocha explained that the collection had been influenced by a trip to County Wicklow, in Ireland, where the landscapes became his inspiration. Not quite my style, but extremely beautiful and whimsical, what fashion should be, a fantasy.
