Met Ball Madness

The Met Gala is perhaps one of the most glamourous nights of the year, and one of fashion’s most important events. It sets the stage for avant-garde fashion to be worn on the red carpet, and for the couture of couturiers to showcase their designs.

This year’s them was punk, with many stars opting to wear black, but boring and black it was not. The other colour trending was white, and pops of colour were seen on Gywneth Paltrow, and a very pregnant Kim Kardashian.

Carrie Mulligan looked chic in Balenciaga and Tiffany jewels, where as Jessica Biel took a risk with a faux septum through her nose, wearing Giambattista Valli. Girl’s star Allison Williams, choose a gothic glam look, wearing a sheer Altuzarra gown.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning in a Valentino gown, with her new blonde hair do, and the always beautiful Miranda Kerr wore Tabitha Simmons, with Cartier jewels.

The Women In White

Untitled-1 copy 3Olivia Wilde wore a midriff baring gown. Gwen Stefani looked demure in her black and white gown by Maison Martin Margiela. While Katie Homes looked ethereal in a Francisco Costa dress.

Gyneth Paltrow was hot in a hot pink vintage Valentino dress, while Uma Thurman looked stunning as a glamourous vivacious Poison Ivy, wearing Zac Posen. Kim Kardashian quite literally looked like she was ready to pop in her patterned Givency gown!

Punk Queen

Queen of Punk, has got to be Sarah Jessica Parker, who caused quite a stir flashing her knickers in a Giles Decon creation, complementing the look with a lavish Phillip Tracey head piece.
