The weather was overall pretty good this London Fashion Week, but the new location for BFC’s showspace made heels a little hard to walk in, so I opted for flats this time. Climbing up a car park ramp at Brewer Street, and running to shows from all over the place is never a good idea. I’ve learnt my lesson!
Bit of a different vibe this season, there was always a great atmosphere at Somerset House, regardless whether you were a show goer or not, everyone could get involved, and there was lots of people watching to be done. Being at brewer street car park, kind of destroyed this. Some brave fashionista did brave the street, but were nearly road kill with the constant on slaught of traffic. However, from a show goers perspective, once you were inside the space was great for a fashion show, the natural light made a real difference to how you viewed the collection, and of course the excitable atmosphere inside was the same.
