El Lodge

Happy new year!! How are we all doing? Any new years resolution? Mine is to post more often, and keep you guys updated on here, and also to sparkle wherever I go 🙂

So last month, and now indeed last year, I went to Sierra Nevada, and stayed at El Lodge, a absolute hidden gem. Who knew Sierra Nevada could be so chic? They’ve definitely upped the anti, and set the bar very high, in what hopefully will develop Sierra Nevada ski resort. The hotel is a Swiss style chalet, with only 20 rooms, and spa. It’s divinely cosy, adorned by Andrew Martin’s designs, and has every mod con going.

It’s perfectly located on the slopes, with a ski shop in the basement of the hotel,  which has every variety of skis, so it’s a total no brainer when you want to ski.

I was lucky enough to stay in the imperial suite, I went to sleep under the stars at night, and would awake to the beautiful white slopes. The three terraces, that the suite featured, had a hot tub and sauna; a sun bathing lounging  area; and then amazing terrace over looking the slopes.

There was a big group of friends that went, so it was perfect for cosy dinners, and playing pool and watching movies, whilst sitting by the fire in the game room, or relaxing by the pool and spa. We even did a mannequin challenge! Check it out El Lodge mannequin challenge opening weekend 2016

I highly recommend going whether you want a romantic getaway, a family weekend with the kids (it has an awesome kids club), or really just want to ski, it has it all.
